What United Way Donations Fund

The legal profession is working with the United Way to raise funds to ensure Alberta’s vulnerable can access justice during the COVID-19 crisis. They will be working with The Social Impact Lab to ensure that the impact from all funds raised is maximized though innovative approaches that address the challenges organizations who support vulnerable populations through the legal sector are facing due to COVID-19.

Are you a non-profit organization who serves the Canadian legal sector and who has been affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic? Do you have ideas on projects that could address the current lack of access to the justice system for vulnerable individuals (e.g. tablets, safe spaces outside the courthouse, personal protective equipment, software, remote meeting access for volunteers/clients, binding family law arbitration, etc.)? If so, we want to hear from you!

We are hoping to raise awareness and support the legal profession's fundraising efforts in order to make a large impact. To help inform this work please provide possible funding shortfalls and Pandemic Legacy Projects/initiatives to support us in determining needs.

We invite other parts of Canada or charities outside Alberta to consider joining in on fundraising for their organization/area.
